Heidenheim – What was that for a one-man show on Sunday afternoon? 10,955 visitors in the Heidenheimer Voith-Arena witnessed the four-pack of their center forward Tim Kleindienst (27), who almost single-handedly dismantled opponent Nuremberg!

Four-packer Tim Kleindienst had to put up with the question of what was in his breakfast on Sunday morning after the final whistle of Heidenheim’s furious 5-0 home win against 1. FC Nürnberg.

It doesn’t matter whether it’s crunchy flakes or wholemeal bread, Heidenheim’s striker was bursting with energy in the second division game on Sunday afternoon. First, Heidenheim’s number 10 tied up a flawless hat trick in the first half, which equaled the 3-0 break.

But that’s not all – in the 81st minute the center forward scored his fourth goal. For the guests from Nuremberg, who had been decimated since the 33rd minute of the game, and where veteran Enrico Valentini (33) had to take a shower early, things got even worse:

In the 86th minute, the “Glubberer” had to swallow the goal to make it 5-0. This time scored by Heidenheim defender Marnon Busch (28). The gentle upward trend of Nuremberg has ended for the time being.

For Heidenheim, the victory not only meant the highest success of the current season, but also the regaining of third place in the table from SC Paderborn. And a strong reaction to that playful 3:0 the previous week against Hamburger SV.

For match winner Kleindienst, that Sunday afternoon should definitely be a lasting moment in his career. The 27-year-old set several personal bests with his grandiose performance:

The attacker had neither been able to achieve a four-pack nor a flawless hat-trick in his professional career. His only hat-trick came from third-division shows as a young professional for Energie Cottbus in 2015.

Nor did the native of Brandenburg ever score 15 goals or more in a season; his previous record came from the 2019/20 season (14 goals).

As a “nice side effect” Kleindienst also outperformed Hamburg’s Top scorer Robert Glatzel (29 years old, 14 goals this season) in a long-distance duel for the top scorer in the 2nd Bundesliga.
