But this time he immediately fell to the ground with a loud scream, was treated for minutes and had to be carried to the catacombs on a stretcher.

From there we went straight to the hospital. A diagnosis was still pending on Saturday.

“I’m afraid it doesn’t look so good. I only heard him scream, but I’m afraid it will be something more serious,” admits Tim Knipping (30).

Dynamo’s captain knows from his own experience what it’s like to come back from a serious injury: “That’s why all our thoughts are with him. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that hopefully it won’t be that bad after all.”

Immediately after the final whistle, the team showed with a nice gesture that they are thinking of Will. Stefan Kutschke (34) had placed one of the midfielder’s jerseys directly in front of the curve with his own fans to signal: The win also belongs to him.
