Dresden – Great action by Ahmet Arslan (28)! The midfielder of Dynamo Dresden would like to help the earthquake victims from Turkey and Syria – he is now auctioning off his worn jersey.
After the severe earthquake on the Turkish-Syrian border last week, the number of victims has now risen to more than 40,000. In addition to the dead, there are also 80,000 injured and thousands missing.
This tragedy affects Ahmet Arslan in particular, because the 28-year-old is the son of Turkish parents and still has relatives in Turkey.
Now he wants to help himself: For this reason, he announced on his Instagram channel today that he would like to auction one of his jerseys. The proceeds will then go to a good cause.
Dynamos Arslan thinks of earthquake victims: “What remains are good deeds!”
“The images of the destruction and the huge suffering that this earthquake left behind in Syria and in my home country, Turkey, just make me sad and sad,” writes the legal footer in his post.
Fans and also supporters of the SGD now have the opportunity to bid money for the “matchworn shirt” that Arslan bought last weekend in the game against SC Verl (3:2) has worn.
“I will donate the amount raised to the German Red Cross, which is currently involved in a large number of local aid campaigns,” explains the 28-year-old about his campaign.
The auction is now open and will last until Sunday February 19th. However, anyone wishing to bid must be at least 18 years old.
If you want to bid for the jersey yourself and do something good at the same time, you can find the auction on Ebay.
A decent sum should certainly come together by Sunday, because just half an hour after the start of the auction, the price is already 354.19 euros (as of February 14, 6:34 p.m.).
