new Delhi: Universities across the country have been given clear instructions by the Union Ministry of Education and UGC to take the final year students exam. However, along with examinations, all universities have been asked to take care of the convenience and safety of students. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said, if universities are conducting final year final examinations, then they are not doing any kind of arbitrary work in it. The Union Education Minister said that he has been asked to take examinations. In the guidelines issued by the UGC, universities have been told that it is necessary to take final year final examinations through offline, online, open book exam or whatever method suits them. Nishank said, We do not want anyone to say on the morrow that these students are Kovidhari and they have got a degree without exam. This year and the crisis of Kovid will pass, but the students will continue to suffer for life. We do not want our students to be called Kovidhari or because of this, some way for the future of the students should be closed. Significantly, so far 818 universities have sent their answers to the UGC regarding the examinations. In their response, 209 different universities across the country said that they have successfully completed the examinations in their institutions as per the UGC guidelines.
Apart from these, 394 universities are preparing for the exam in August and September from online, offline and mixed resources. Almost all the central universities across the country have given their consent to take the final year exams.
Talking about central universities across the country, there has been positive response from 51 central universities on the subject of final year examinations. Many of these central universities have completed the final year and final semester online examinations. The remaining central universities have assured to get such examinations before September 30.
