Favorite fright Aue! After Mannheim, Pavel Dotchev’s team defeated the next promotion candidate.

The 57-year-old Bulgarian decided on his 298th third division appearance on the sidelines – because of two yellow card suspensions that he served as coach of Viktoria Cologne and Duisburg, the anniversary only follows in the derby at Dynamo – on exactly the same starting eleven, the Mannheim 2 :1 had defeated.

On the other hand, things looked poor on the bench, there were only five field players available, as Maxi Thiel, Ulrich Taffertshofer, Sam Schreck and Alexander Sorge were injured or absent due to illness.

The weakened violets grew on this task with Wiesbadeners unbeaten for eight games. Omar Sijaric was free after a wide opening ball from Korbinian Burger on the way to 1-0.

Ahmet Gürleyen (13th) pulled the emergency brake just before the penalty area, flew off, but at least prevented the early lead of the visitors.

Wiesbaden dangerous even when outnumbered

It fell after a fine ball relay with a bang. Sijaric went to the baseline, passed slightly back to Marvin Stefaniak, who continued to bet on Antonio Jonjic, whose pass Marco Schikora (33rd) welded into the long angle from the inside right of the box.

Aue led, but had to stretch enormously. Even outnumbered, Wiesbaden proved to be extremely dangerous and pushed the violets in behind. In one of the few relief attacks, Dimitrij Nazarov found Jonjic (65th) – 2:0.

The game wasn’t over yet. Martin Männel made a strong save and was powerless against Florian Carsten’s (74th) beam, which smacked over the line from the bottom edge of the bar. Aue, who seems mentally more stable under Dotchev, now had to counter.

Männel (75th) first saved against Bjarke Jacobsen and shortly afterwards was there again against Sebastian Mrowca.

On the other side, Tom Baumgart (88th) and Nazarov (90th + 2) missed administering the antihypertensive drug.
