Paramount Pictures has published the first official trailer for Scream VI, the next and long-awaited installment of the franchise after its successful return last year. We can finally get a glimpse of Ghostface in New York…
Here you can see the new official trailer in Spanish:
In addition to the trailer, Paramount has also shared through social networks the first official poster of Scream VI, where we can see Ghostface behind what appears to be a subway window. “New York, new rules”, also reads the poster, along with the release date of the film, which will hit theaters on March 10, 2023.
Following the latest events seen in Scream, last year’s movie, Scream VI acts as a direct sequel. The characters (who have survived) leave Woodsboro to seek a fresh start and a new life in New York…but as expected, Ghostface reappears in their lives.
Scream VI will once again feature a cast led by Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks-Martin), Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks-Martin), Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed) and Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers). A few months ago we learned that Neve Campbell, the protagonist of the entire saga until the last film, will not make her return in this sixth installment.
Jenna Ortega, who just starred in the hit series Wednesday on Netflix, has already advanced that the next Ghostface would be the “most aggressive and violent” version of the franchise ever seen.
Scream VI will be released in theaters next March 10, 2023.
