Hades II Officially Announced: Supergiant Games Sequel Shown For First Time At The Game Awards


It’s official: Supergiant Games’ Hades is getting a sequel, and Hades II has been seen for the first time at The Game Awards tonight.

No further details such as the release date and platform availability have been released. Coming out in Early Access in 2023. Here you can see the trailer shown during the gala:

The news came as a welcome surprise to The Game Awards attendees, as Supergiant had not committed to releasing a sequel to its beloved roguelike game. Last year, screenwriter Greg Kasavin told NME that he wasn’t sure if there would be a Hades II.

Hades became a resounding success upon its release in 2020, both by critics and the public.

It also turned in an impressive performance at that year’s The Game Awards, winning Best Indie Game and Best Action Game, and garnering nominations for Game of the Year, Narrative, Art Direction, Soundtrack and Music, and Performance for Logan. Cunningham.
