New reports indicate that the actor Henry Cavill is working on an adaptation of Warhammer 40,000 that will come from Amazon.
These past few weeks have been a roller coaster of emotions for fans, and especially for Henry Cavill. The actor has had to hang his sword and red cloak on him, but this doesn’t turn out to be the end of the world for him. Now, The Hollywood Reporter ensures that Cavill is busy starring in and producing an adaptation of Warhammer 40,000..
This means that the actor’s wishes are about to come true, as a year ago he revealed in an interview with IGN that wanted to be part of a movie or series in the Warhammer universe: “I guess I could play a different character from the Warhammer Fantasy universe vs. the 40K universe, but I’m just dreaming right now. I’d have to talk to the guys at Games Workshop and see what happens.”
The only thing that is known about this adaptation at the moment is that Amazon is in final talks for the rights to Warhammer 40,000. The series is produced by Games Workshop and while the writers and showrunners are unknown, it is known that Vertigo Entertainment is joining the project as an executive producer.
The plot of Warhammer 40,000 is very interesting: all the events take place in the future, where human beings are in continuous war with other strange beings (gods, demons, magical beings…). And to this is added the large number of characters that shows. What will be Cavill’s role in all of this?
