Isco at Union Berlin would have been “something special for all of us”, but …

The Isco deal would undoubtedly have been the transfer coup of the year for Union Berlin, but would the Spanish superstar even have fit in with the irons?

Berlin – The burst deadline day transfer from superstar Isco It’s been a while since (30) but the disappointment about the unsuccessful deal is still there Union Berlin not yet given way, as Kevin Behrens (32) recently hinted.

The 32-year-old is probably something of the man of the hour with the Irons. After the winter break, the beefy striker developed more and more into a regular player.

In the last three Bundesliga games, “Behre”, as he is affectionately known by the Union team, scored two goals and he also scored the winning goal in the 2-1 win against VfL Wolfsburg in the round of 16 of the cup. On top of that, he has just extended his contract at the Alte Försterei.

If the Isco deal hadn’t burst in the room, then Behrens would have been the number one topic of conversation at the FCU, because according to his own statement in a media round he is in the form of his life.

But what does the centre-forward actually think of the man who stole the show from him without actually being there?

“I do think it would have been something special for all of us, including here for Union,” said the center forward in a “kicker” interview.

Isco is without question a great footballer and has achieved a lot in his career, the attacker correctly remarked, because the 30-year-old can, among other things, look back on five titles in the Champions League and three more in The league look back with his ex-club Real Madrid.

But would a superstar of his caliber even have fitted in with Union? Kevin also expressed his opinion on “kicker.tv”.

Because of course one cannot know how he would have accepted the conditions in the Köpenickers. “He’s used to something completely different. Maybe he would have said after two weeks: ‘I don’t feel like it anymore’ and let himself get stuck here,” speculated Behrens.

Of course, the exact opposite could have been the case. “Perhaps he would have inspired us brutally, none of us can know that.”

According to the 32-year-old, the team “of course joked about it and said: ‘Soon you’ll get passes from Isco, he used to serve Ronaldo.'”

But that didn’t come to pass in the end. “He’s not here now and we’ve managed well without him so far,” said Kevin Behrens, rightly so.

Next to the BVB the capital club is the only team in the German football league that has won all games after the winter break. The Fischer squad has established itself in the leading group and is currently taking on the role of Bayern hunter number one … even without Isco.
