James Gunn, from DC Studios, has anticipated the possible arrival of another superhero to the DC universe.
In TwitterGunn limited himself to posting a photo of Mister Terrific/Michael Holt not including any text. This has fans in the responses certain that the character will make his way into the new DC universe in some way.

Mister Terrific is a DC superhero who made his first appearance in the comics in 1942. Two different men have taken up the mantle of Mister Terrific: Terry Sloane originally, followed by Michael Holt. The photo Gunn posted is specifically of Holt, who has appeared in DC’s Arrowverse with a role on Arrow from seasons four through eight.
Holt has the ability to easily learn and hone skills others spend a lifetime working on. He has 14 PhDs, a high-tech company that he ends up selling to Waynetech, and is a gold medal-winning Olympian. After the accidental death of his family, he adopts the name Mister Terrific and joins the Justice Society of America, most recently seen in Black Adam, the latest DC movie.
It’s unclear what role Mister Terrific will play in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s plan for DC. The two CEOs have begun working on an eight to 10-year plan for DC movies, TV series, animation projects, and more.
We know that Gunn is focusing on building the “new DCU” instead of spending time on canceled projects. The new DC universe will feature the return of Henry Cavill’s Superman, and Aquaman star Jason Momoa has commented that Gunn will make one of his dreams come true.
