Naughty Dog ha compartido a new concept art of the upcoming multiplayer game The Last of Us and has promised to release more information later in the year, possibly on the occasion of the original game’s 10th anniversary.
Studio co-chairman Neil Druckmann has stated in a blog post that while the game is obviously a multiplayer experience and therefore different from what Naughty Dog is known forit will continue to be a game rich in stories and characters, reiterating the message that was already given a few months ago.
“We’re looking forward to The Last of Us’ 10th anniversary in June, and we’re very excited to share more with you about the future of this franchise,” Druckmann said. “We’ll have some fun surprises for you along the way, but later this year we’ll start giving you some details on our ambitious multiplayer game The Last of Us.”
He continues: “With a team led by Vinit Agarwal, Joe Pettinati and Anthony Newman, the project is shaping up to be a fresh new experience from our studio, but one rooted in Naughty Dog’s passion for delivering incredible stories, characters and gameplay.”
The concept art matches what fans have come to expect from The Last of Us, showing an abandoned street with a rusty transept at the end of the road. Druckmann added that the franchise has sold more than 37 million copies worldwide as of December 2022.
With The Last of Us TV series set to premiere on HBO Max on January 15, Naughty Dog will also be providing behind-the-scenes information on the original PlayStation 3 game and the PlayStation 5 remake of the first part as it progresses. the Serie.
