Charlie Cox’s next series on Daredevil in the MCU could have a certain resemblance with Ryan Reynolds jokes in Deadpool.
During a panel at the German Comic-Con in Dortmund, Cox spoke with Elden Henson (his co-star) about the upcoming MCU series called Daredevil: Born Again, where Cox will reprise the role from the Netflix series that has a total of three seasons. According to Coxit is possible that the Matt Murdock’s masked vigilante makes an appearance in Deadpool 3.
“Because of the tone of our show, I think there’s a space for Daredevil to appear in Deadpool,” Cox said. “He would be really cool.” He then added, “Great, now that’s news.”
Cox’s statements not only imply a Daredevil cameo in Deadpool 3, but also hint that the tone of Daredevil: Born Again is closer to that of Deadpool. In the next series, whose premiere is scheduled for early 2024, Cox will be firmly established in the MCU. After brief appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Lawyer Hulk, the new Marvel series will put Daredevil in Marvel’s crosshairs.
Although not much is known about Daredevil: Born Again, it is confirmed that the series will bring back Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, better known as Kingpin. The last time we saw him was in December 2021 in the Hawkeye miniseries. There, the Kingpin took a beating (and a bullet) from Alaqua Cox’s Echo.
Meanwhile, when it comes to Deadpool, little is known about what the third installment in the Reynolds saga will be like. However, we know that the film will mark the return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverinewho we last saw in Logan.
So will the Man Without Fear meet the Mercenary on screen? We will have to wait until the end of 2024 to find out.
