Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir police chief said on Sunday that Pakistan was using drones to drop underground tunnels and weapons from across the border to infiltrate terrorists into India. However, Director General of Police Dilbag Singh said that an “anti-infiltration grid” is active to demolish the nefarious designs and a campaign is on to uncover the tunnel. Recently, a 170-meter tunnel was found in Galar village near the international border. After inspecting this tunnel, Singh spoke to reporters in Samba district. The DGP said, “I inspected the tunnel. This is similar to the tunnel unearthed in Chanayari in 2013-14. “Investigation is going on but there are indications that Pakistan has used it to transport the intruders,” he said. He did not rule out the possibility of more such tunnels. He said that BSF and police personnel are campaigning to uncover more such tunnels.
