Reacher season 1 came out in 2022. It was based on Lee Child’s books about Jack Reacher. Reacher was picked up for a second season just three days after it came out. After two action movies with Tom Cruise, it’s not the first time we’ve seen Jack on the big screen. Reacher, the TV show, on the other hand, gives the character a whole new look. Alan Ritchson plays the part on Amazon’s streaming service. Nick Santora, who was nominated for just an Emmy, wrote the first season of Reacher. In it, the former soldier fought corrupt police officers, politicians, and businessmen after being wrongfully convicted of murder.
As soon as it came out in the US and around the world, the first thriller series quickly became one of the top five most-watched shows on Prime Video. Reacher got a second season, which isn’t a big surprise, and that’s what we’re here to talk about. Here’s what we know so far about when Reacher season 2 will come out and other details.

Reacher Season 1: A Quick Recap
Reacher is based on Lee Child’s first book about Jack Reacher, “Killing Floor.” It tells the story of Jack Reacher, a former military police officer who has just returned to civilian life. Reacher is a drifter who doesn’t have a phone or much else with him as he travels the country and learns more about the country he used to serve. When Jack Reacher goes to the small Georgia town of Margrave, there has been a murder for the first time in 20 years.
At some point, viewers find out that the police arrest him right away and that witnesses say they saw Reacher at the scene of the crime. As he works to prove his innocence, a deep-rooted plot starts to come to light. Reacher will need his sharp mind and hard-hitting fists to deal with this plot. One thing is certain: they chose the wrong person to take the blame.
Reacher Season 2 Plot
People have said that Ritchson’s version of the character is more true to the books than Tom Cruise’s version in the 2012 movie Jack Reacher and its 2016 sequel. Throughout season 2, audiences can expect to see Ritchson’s former MP get into trouble. Using the original source material as a guide, season 2 will actually occur in a whole new place with a whole new cast of characters. So, viewers shouldn’t expect to see Roscoe (Willa Fitzgerald) or Captain Finlay (Malcolm Goodwin) from season 1 again. But Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten, is a character who shows up in all of the books and is a friend of Reacher’s from when he was in the military. She is expected to come back.
Reacher, played by Ritchson, is expected to have a much more personal mission in season 2, which will be a challenge for his big, strong character. Reacher season 1 was based on the first Jack Reacher book, Killing Floor, which came out in 1997. Season 2 will jump ahead to the eleventh book, Bad Luck and Trouble, which came out in 2007. In this book, Reacher has to find out who killed his old friends from the 110th MP Special Investigation Unit of the U.S. Army. And unlike season 1, which took place in a small town, season 2 should take place in both Los Angeles and Las Vegas if Bad Luck and Trouble is a good guide.
Reacher Season 2 Release Date
As of March 2023, there is no official date for Reacher season 2, but we think it will come out this summer. Reacher was picked up for a second season on February 7, 2022, but it’s too soon to say when it will come out.
Where to Watch Reacher season 2
Reacher Season 2 will come out first on Amazon Prime Video in all markets, just like Season 1. This is great for people around the world who read Lee Child’s books because it’s on one platform and you don’t have to use a VPN or look for another streaming service as you do with many other shows.
Reacher Season 1 Review
Reacher is a big man who can fight and is smart and strong. He travels all over the United States, doing odd jobs and looking into strange and often dangerous situations. His most recent hotspot takes him to Margrave, Georgia, where people immediately think he killed someone. Reacher, fellow detective Finlay, and officer Roscoe must find out the truth before it’s too late. The town seems to be full of secrets, shady people, and a possible counterfeiting scheme.
Even if the ending is a little cheesy and the mystery is a little too easy to figure out, the show does so much right that it’s easy to look past these things. Reacher is predictable, but the three main characters are well-written and have a lot of depth. There is also a lot of violent action and nail-biting tension. There are also some good action scenes, which are spread out over the 8 episodes. A quick wit and a good sense of humor are used perfectly as comic relief.
A running joke about animal feed and another regarding peach pie are two of the show’s best parts, but don’t get the wrong idea: this isn’t a really funny show. This is a violent and dark action thriller, and some of the scenes are really disturbing. One of the deaths in the last episode seems like it came straight out of Mortal Kombat. In the same way, there are also some pretty gruesome and bloody crime scenes here. Those who are a little bit queasy should probably remember that!
Don’t let that stop you, though. Reacher is a really good show with good writing. It’s a fast-paced adventure that keeps the tension and thrills up the whole time. Reacher is a must-see if you’re in the mood for a good, old-fashioned action thriller.
