Check out the image gallery below to read the entirety of Hellboy: The Silver Lantern Club #1, with a script by Mike Mignola and Chris Roberson and art by Ben Stenbeck and Christopher Mitten. For now, we can only offer it in English:

Hellboy: The Silver Lantern Club is set early in Hellboy’s career., while still working alongside his adoptive father Trevor Bruttenholm at the BPRD. Hellboy and Professor Bruttenholm appear in a framing sequence, but most of the series consists of flashback stories showing other adventurers and occult experts who joined the ranks of the club over the centuries. It’s a series that reinforces the interconnected nature of many of Mignola’s horror comics.

“Long before Hellboy and Professor Trevor Bruttenholm investigated and defended against the paranormal with the BPRD, members of the Silver Lantern Club were investigating the occult and supernatural in Queen Victoria’s England,” Roberson explains to IGN. “Occult investigators such as paranormal investigator Simon Bruttenholm, American globetrotter Sarah Jewell, Chinese monster hunter Lady Bai, and the Queen’s own Witch Hunter, Sir Edward Grey, met regularly in a London tavern to trade stories. of their exploits over a drink and to pool their resources for their ongoing investigations. In Hellboy: The Silver Lantern Club, Hellboy and Professor Bruttenholm meet the professor’s uncle, Simon, in that same tavern to hear stories about the club’s glory days.”
