Regionalliga Nordost: BSG Chemie Leipzig lost its floodlit home game on Friday evening against FSV 63 Luckenwalde, who were threatened with relegation.

Leipzig – second Match under own floodlights, for the second time no victory! The BSG Chemie Leipzig lost its home game on Friday evening against the relegation-threatened FSV 63 Luckenwalde 1:2 (0:2) – and thus also caught up with the top of the table.

Phil Butendeich (30th minute) and Christian Flath (34th / penalty kick) scored for the guests in the Alfred-Kunze-Sportpark, Manassé Eshele (1:2 / 64th) only managed to catch up.

BSG trainer Miroslav Jagatic made three changes after the bitter 0:4 at VSG Altglienicke: Anton Kanther, Denis Jäpel and Eshele pushed Ben Keßler, Timo Mauer and Janik Mäder onto the bench.

Compared to the surprising 1-0 win against top club Energie Cottbus, FSV coach Michael Braune made two changes: Leon Hellwig and Pascal Borowski stayed out, Marcel Hadel and Simon Gollnack started.

In the shadow of the top game BFC Dynamo against Chemnitzer FC (final score 0-0), two different states of mind met in Leutzsch: while the home side were not victorious in four of the last five games after taking the lead, the Brandenburgers emerged victorious in three of the last four duels place, including against Cottbus and BFC.

The BSG made their appearance for the first time with a tight but too central free kick from Philipp Harant, who could have scored his team in sixth place (5th).

Double strike breaks BSG Chemie Leipzig’s neck against FSV Luckenwalde

After that, however, the 63er always made people sit up and take notice and took a comfortable lead thanks to a double strike. First it was Butendeich, who was served by the right wing and pushed in – 0:1 (30th).

Then there was a penalty after Paul Horschig fouled Gollnick, which Flath sank on the left – 0:2 (34th). Incidentally, that was also the result in the first half of the season, in the end the Green-Whites brought a 2-2 win to Leipzig. Unfortunately, that didn’t work again.

The chemists came out of the dressing room with renewed self-confidence and didn’t want to admit defeat. The storm duo Mauer/Mäder, who came on in the 55th minute, should also see to that.

With now three trained strikers, it worked with the first goal: Eshele was served in front, rounded keeper André Thoms and completed the 1:2 (64th).

Despite struggling in the closing stages, Jagatic’s side failed to score another goal, resulting in their second consecutive defeat that keeps them tenth on a still respectable 29 points.

The FSV, on the other hand, crawled up to the non-relegation rank 14 occupied by Hertha BSC II with 20 points.
