Open-world survival game The Day Before has shown off new 10-minute gameplay, the first new look at the game in over a yearsince its developer, Fntastic, is involved in a trademark ownership dispute.
Some exploration, weapon modification, and combat with infected enemies is shown in the new footage. Here you can see the new gameplay of The Day Before:
The Day Before was originally scheduled to be released in June 2022, but was pushed back to March 1, 2023 and It is now scheduled for November 10.. While the first delay was due to the game’s switch to Unreal Engine 5, it was further delayed because the studio reportedly failed to get its name registered.
However, Fantastic told IGN last month that a delay was planned before the trademark dispute came to light.
“We planned to release the game earlier and plan to announce it with Mytona in a 10-minute gameplay,” Fntastic said then. “And then you all know what happened. So to be safe, to make sure there are no more moves, we, along with the publisher, chose November 10. It’s a safe date, given the trademark dispute.”
There have been so many delays that some fans came to accuse him of fraud, doubting even that the game was in development. Last month, Fntastic disputed these accusations, stating that “the storm will eventually subside and time will settle everything. When the game comes out, people will finally see the truth.”
The last time we saw The Day Before was in April 2021.
