“Worlds collide in ‘The Flash’ when Barry uses his time travel superpowers to change events of the past,” reads the official description. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry is trapped in a reality where General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. Unless Barry manages to bring a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian.… though not the one you’re looking for.
“Ultimately, to save the world he’s in and return to the future he knows, Barry’s only hope is to run for his life. But, Will it be enough to make the ultimate sacrifice to restart the universe?“.
The Flash’s path to theaters has not been the smoothest since, aside from multiple delays and directors, its leading man, Ezra Miller, has been in legal trouble for multiple accusations including throwing a chair at a woman, harassing minors, and more. He has since apologized, saying he suffers from “complex mental health issues.”
Ezra Miller’s future at James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Studios is still unclear, and that’s all James Gunn has commented on so far.
