Ubisoft has released a surprise DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla which includes a character from the upcoming game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
As reported by Polygon, Ubisoft has announced on Twitter (below) that A new mission can now be downloaded for free called Shared History, which introduces Roshan, the protagonist of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage, to Eivor, from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Roshan is Basim’s mentor., another character from Valhalla and protagonist of the upcoming game. Given his status as a master assassin, it’s only natural that Roshan would be as well, and the search for him kicks off with some foreshadowing of what’s to come at Mirage.

This DLC (along with the previously announced Last Chapter) marks the end of Valhalla’s post-launch content and comes more than two years after the game’s November 2020 launch. As Eivor’s story has already been confirmed to be over, it makes sense that Ubisoft would also want to announce the upcoming game in its latest DLC for the Viking adventure.
Mirage was leaked earlier this year, but was officially revealed in September as the next mainline Assassin’s Creed game, set to release sometime in 2023. Set in Baghdad some 20 years before the events of Valhalla, Mirage promises a return. tonal to the roots of the franchise.
