The violent reaction of Sergio Ramos after PSG’s defeat against Bayern Munich

After the painful defeat suffered by the PSG before him Bayern Munich in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League, Sergio Ramos starred in a striking scene that caused the collective repudiation of football lovers. It is that although the central marker had an acceptable game within the complications that the Parisian team showed to neutralize the associated game of the Germans, especially in the first part of the match, the former Real Madrid had a bad attitude after the fall in the Parque de los Príncipes.

Once the first duel of the series ended, all the footballers of the French team went to the stands where the traditional ultras are located; and while he was applauding the public, a photographer approached him without seeing him and brushed against him. Immediately afterwards, the historic Spanish defender he touched it with the elbow of his right arm in a clear sign of anger. At the same time, she gestured for him to notice that he was standing on the spot and they bothered him.

Ramos’s reproach did not end there. Within a few seconds, the Sevillian turned around and roughly pushed another photojournalist that, without realizing it because he was working, hit the body of the world champion player with Spain. Quickly, a security force from the team stood between the two and the situation did not escalate.

One of those affected was the German photographer Markus Gilliar, who was incredulous at the gesture of the Iberian center-back. And with the intention of appeasing the tension between the protagonists, he expressed himself in his account of Instagram with a clear message to the footballer with a past at Real Madrid. “Surprise night: Sergio Ramos contacted me personally and apologized for his behavior. Apologies accepted, case closed.”was the clarification of the photojournalist who accompanied his message with the hashtags: “Fairplay” and “lovemyjob”.

Later, in statements given to the French newspaper Le Parisien, the photographer explained in greater depth what happened: “At first, when they pushed me, I first thought it was a colleague. But hey, I told myself that it was still very stimulating for a colleague. and i saw that it was Sergio Ramos. I thought she stepped on his toes. He was angry. I didn’t understand,” he explained. And then she concluded: “Maybe I was too close to him. Furthermore, with the frustration of defeat, I can understand the situation. In the end, for me, it’s not a big deal.”

PSG’s present is not the best. They have already lost five games so far in 2023 and a long-standing record was broken: the last defeat at home in the Parc des Princes had been on April 28, 2021 for the first meeting of the semifinal played against Manchester City for the Champions League. 657 days and 42 games have passed in regular time since that marker – in the middle they lost on penalties against Nice for the French Cup. Beyond this negative mark, what Christopher Galtier’s team showed is just a continuation of the poor results that are chasing the leader of Ligue 1.
