The Rookie’s future status has not yet been announced by ABC. However, given that other networks have already begun announcing their renewals and cancellations, many anticipate an announcement to occur shortly.

The Rookie Season 5 has recently been changed by ABC from Sundays to Tuesdays in 2023. Before the network moved it to Sundays for season 2, it had its original time slot on Tuesday nights for season 1. It has since made its way back home for the remainder of season 5, where it introduces The Rookie: Feds, a spinoff.
Some viewers believed the action portended terrible news for The Rookie Season 6. It turns out to be entirely the contrary, though, when you look at the show’s ratings.

The Rookie Review and Recap

Since the pilot, which surpassed my expectations in terms of pacing and content, I have been a fan. I must admit that every episode exceeded my expectations. I knew that every episode had to be just like the pilot if the show was to stand a chance of being good.
Given that Game of Thrones was the last show I watched that kept my interest throughout each episode, I’ll even go so far as to make comparisons from Rookie to that show.

I was aware Nathan Fillion would be the show’s standout because I’ve been following him since his Firefly days. Like Firefly and Castle, Nathan assumes responsibility for the show as its lifeblood. Additionally, as the show goes on, we can see the other performers’ extraordinary talent and learn more about each character’s various facets.

The actors in this cast are excellent at creating moods. And this program’s best feature is writing. No problem or story arc hangs around too long, the pacing never slows, there is constant action but also brilliant moments in emotional circumstances, and resolves are always carried out as new challenges for the characters appear.

The perfect amount of drama, humor, and fervor is present. I believe they have at least a few seasons beneath their belt before the unavoidable dry seasons that most series go through after their finest stories have been told since this is unquestionably the best show on television right now. I like it. I’m eager for the future.
