CD Projekt Red has announced that the next-gen update for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on December 14th.

Announced in a post on The Witcher’s official Twitter account (below), CD Projekt Red has kept its promise of a Q4 release by confirming this new date.

“The next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming on December 14, free to everyone who already owns the game,” he said.

The next-gen version of The Witcher 3, which is a “visually and technically improved” update that includes bonus DLC based on Netflix’s The Witcher series, was originally expected to release last year before being delayed twice.

Studio Saber Interactive was originally developing the remake, but it was taken over by CD Projekt Red in April 2022, though it insisted the game was “not in development hell,” a common designation when a development is having serious problems. problems.

The Q4 date was set for May, but many were still concerned given the previous two delays, not to mention the looming end of the year, but it looks like CD Projekt Red will hit their target.
