Sarah Sands he drank two bottles of wine to give himself strength and went to the house of Michael Pleasted, 77, in a building next to his house in east London. She rang the doorbell of his neighbor’s house and as soon as the man opened the door, he stabbed her 8 times in 2014.
“I pricked him in the forehead with the knife and grabbed my hand. I lost control. I couldn’t let anyone else get hurt, someone had to protect people,” Sarah recalled of the attack.

That was the attack
At the moment he was stabbing him, the man howled “your children lie.” It was the only moment of doubt for Sarah. “The whole world froze. She had the knife in her left hand and I remember her trying to grab it. I never intended to kill him.”
The woman was caught on security cameras going to her neighbor’s third-floor apartment. Twenty minutes later she emerged from the building with a bloodstained knife in her left hand. Sands returned to her house and she took off her bloodstained clothesafter having told a neighbor: “Pretend you never saw me”.
Then he took a taxi to see his stepson Paul Penn and tearfully confessed to stabbing Pleasted. “He took out the knife and showed it to me. It was a kitchen knife, about thirty centimeters long, it had a very pink substance”, the young man admitted.

Hours after the attack, the woman turned herself in to police with the same bloody knife in her hand. “Who harbors a fucking pedophile in a building full of boys? He was, like, asking for trouble,” she told police before they read her her rights and recommended she hire a lawyer.
During the trial, Sarah told how she found out that one of her sons was being abused by Pleasted. “I found Bradley pulling his hair, shaking and crying. He kept saying ‘I should have told you sooner, that might have stopped him from getting those younger kids,’” Sands said through tears. He “was attacked in the store and in his house. I felt sick and heartbroken,” the woman explained.
The anonymity of the pedophile
pleasted was a pedophile who had attacked Sarah’s three children. Now, the boys have turned 18 and have given up their right to anonymity to support their single mother, who was released from prison after four years and is now campaigning to toughen rules on sex offenders who can change their names.
The three brothers they were attacked by a pedophile who changed his identity to hide his previous 24 child abuse convictions and in an interview with the BBC admitted they are “glad” he is dead after his mother stabbed him to protect them.

One of his sons, Bradley, admitted that he immediately thought “I take my hat off” when he found out that he had stabbed Pleasted to death. His twin brothers said they felt safer after he was killed. Reece, who was 11 years old at the time, said that it was “nice to know that he was dead” during the interview with the English media.
After committing the crime of the attacker of his children, Sarah was filmed by a security camera sobbing outside the apartment where the attack took place. “He took everything from me. Still to this day there are no words to describe how it eats you up inside. She tore my family apart,” the woman described how she felt minutes after stabbing Pleasted.
“I couldn’t tell them it was a dream, because it wasn’t, he was our living nightmare. He devours me because they are my babies. I would give my life for them,” the woman continued.
Pleasted had abused three of Sarah’s children and other young children in her London flat and had already been convicted of three decades of child abuse offences, including 24 convictions.
It is that a legal loophole in the UK allows registered sex offenders to change their name by public deed.
The ploy can help people get a new driver’s license and passport and even a fresh, clean DBS background check. This Pleasted did, but he again attacked minors at his new London residence.
Labor MP Sarah Champion told the BBC that some criminals are using name changes to avoid the criminal background checks required for jobs that include working with children.
Sarah, set free
Meanwhile, Sarah was released from prison and regretted having murdered Plestead: “I bring life to the world. It never occurred to me that I would be guilty of taking the life of the world.”
“For the pedophiless, if you touch children, there have to be consequences. And hide behind the name changes… you have to take it off. That right to change their name has to be taken away from them, ”the woman highlighted in her new campaigns.
Sands was found guilty of manslaughter but acquitted of murder because she was deemed to have lost control. She was imprisoned and at the time of hearing the sentence she said: “I did what any mother would do.”
My neighbor, the pedophile
It turned out that Pleasted, regarded by the family as a friendly neighbor and helpful at his east London estate, he had changed his name from Robin Moult to hide a long past of pedophilia. The man was so friendly at first that Sarah cooked for him, not knowing that she had already targeted her little children. “I really thought he was a lovely old man. I took care of him and spent time with him when I could,” Sarah confessed as her blood ran cold.
Bradley, another of Sarah’s sons, said he was sorry when he found out what his mom had done. “I thought I took my hat off, I’m not going to deny it”
Alfie was in agreement with his two brothers. “It made us feel more secure. He didn’t slow down the nightmares. But he gave us a sense of security because you didn’t have to walk down the street thinking that the man who had abused us was coming around the corner.”
Before being sentenced, Sarah defended herself in court. The woman herself said that she “just wanted to scare him”. Now, the woman is free and tries to rebuild her life with her already grown children. “I just wanted the kids not to have the bad luck of running into their attacker on the street at some other point in their lives,” she explained.
