Wo Long Fallen Dynasty: Exclusive Gameplay of a Spectacular Boss Battle – IGN First

The tough boss fights are the best of any Team Ninja action game, and it seems that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be no different.

At today’s IGN First, we’re bringing you an exclusive first look at one of the first bosses in the game, Aoye.

Aoye is a fictional creature appearing in the ancient Chinese text Shan Hai Jing, also known as Classic of Mountains and Seas. He is described as a bull-like being, with long hair reminiscent of a straw rain cape.

In Wo Long, Aoye appears as a giant monster that attacks with its long hair and creepy tentacles. Although often open to attack, Aoye’s blows are strong and can be deadly. Aoye also has an attack that spreads ice throughout the combat area, requiring the player to fight carefully in a smaller environment.

In our gameplay video battling Aoye, the player character wields the halberd, a weapon type never shown before. Here’s what director Masakazu Hirayama has to say about it.

“The halberd is best known for Warlord Lu Bu’s piercing halberd. It is a heavy weapon that can mow down enemies like the Glaive. At the same time, it also has long-range vertical attacks like the spear. Taking advantage of the shape Apart from the Halberd, this type of weapon also has a Martial Art (a powerful move that differs by individual weapon) in which you can hook a far enemy with your blade. You can use this attack to pull the enemy towards you and attack from further away. close”.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be released on March 3 for PS5/PS4/Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One/PC and will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
