Die-hard fans of AC Milan had to wait eight months for this news!
As Gazzetta dello Sport reports, superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic (41) is back on the ball, albeit initially only in the Rossoneri’s training.
The 121-time Sweden international was suffering from a serious knee injury, as a result of which he had to undergo cruciate ligament and meniscus surgery.
Up to 80 teams! New attempt for the Super League in the starting blocks
After about nine months, “Ibra” is back at service and could be available again in the upcoming home game against FC Turin.
However, the Swede’s participation is questionable after the long injury break, but the physical presence of the brawny 1.95 meter center forward should provide extra motivation for the Rossoneri.
When Ibrahimovic made his last appearance for Milan on May 22, 2022, the club were enjoying even better times. Ibra came on as a substitute and secured the club the Scudetto, Italy’s Serie A league title, with a 3-0 win at Sassuolo Calcio.
It’s anyone’s guess how often the now recovered “Ibra” still goes in search of goals for the traditional club from northern Italy, because his contract expires in the summer.
