Nintendo has shared the most generous trailer, to date, of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and surely we will be analyzing it for months. Along with the new images, Nintendo has shown a collector’s edition and one amiibo figure which will be released along with the game.

Revealed in today’s Nintendo Direct, the new images show a very dark time for the world of Hyrule. Lightning, rain, and blood moons set the stage for what looks like a grim adventure for Link. An unknown narrator says: “Rise, rise, my servants. Raze Hyrule, wipe out this Kingdom and its allies, leave no survivors!”. Later, Zelda tells Link that she’s not sure if she can beat him. this unknown enemy. Time will tell if it is Ganondorf or some other enemy.

We also got to see some new enemy types and features not seen in Breath of the Wild. Shows new wyvern-like creatures who lead the Moblins into battle, while Link faces off against a giant mechanical enemy made of blocks.

also looks lots of action in the sky, which has been a big topic so far in Tears of the Kingdom pre-release coverage. We see Link gliding onto a new form of technology and driving it across the ground as if it were a mechanical vehicle. The trailer ends with Zelda asking someone: “Please lend him your power”and leaves us with a picture of Link trying to catch Zelda as she falls into an abyss.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom It will be launched on May 12, 2023, and Nintendo has also shown us the Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition, as well as its corresponding amiibo.
