“When we part with the head coach, it has the aftertaste that Joe Enochs is the one who is the only one who bears the burden for the sporting situation at FSV Zwickau. We have always talked about the sporting management to which the The coach and the sports director belong. That’s why both sports fans are no longer with us,” explains Fischer.

The decision was made unanimously by all bodies, with no abstentions or dissenting votes, according to Fischer. Between the lines it could be heard that, among other things, they probably did not agree with the squad policy.

“After all, we have 28 players in the dressing room. FSV Zwickau has never had that many. These are indicators that we used as a basis for our decisions,” emphasizes Fischer.

It must be mentioned here that the injuries to Johannes Brinkies (29) and Filip Kusic (26) made two more transfers necessary in the first and second half of the season.

The search for a coach is now the top priority and should be completed within the next week. Co-trainer Robin Lenk (38) is intensively involved in this. Klotzkowsky: “The existing coaching team will be involved in the talks in order to make a joint decision.”

The club is taking more time with a possible successor solution for Wachsmuth. It is even questionable whether the position of sports director will be filled at all. In the future, however, a “Managing Director Sport” is to be installed, since Klotzkowsky – he also admitted that the club was in danger of going bankrupt in November – only takes care of commercial matters.

Wachsmuth rejected a corresponding offer. Enochs received the same offer in December, for which he was given until February 28 to make a decision. However, this was linked to the current sporting success, which is why this offer seems to be obsolete.
