How long will The Game Awards broadcast last?

Even The duration of The Game Awards 2022 has not been confirmedbut it is expected to last a while. The 2021 Game Awards lasted about 3 hours, so we expect this year’s show to be similar in length.

What to expect from The Game Awards 2022

The first thing you can expect from this year’s The Game Awards is the awards themselves. There is a total of 32 categories with 5 nominees in each one and there are serious contenders for Game of the Year in 2022. The two favorites for the Game of the Year category this 2022 are Elden Ring and God of War: Ragnarök. Both games are nominated in various categories and are very likely to win in some of them.

In addition to the awards themselves, The Game Awards have historically offered big upcoming game reveals. In other years we’ve been able to see reveals like Elden Ring and Sonic Frontiers, so we expect to potentially see some new reveals at the 2022 show. Considering this is the first live The Game Awards show since 2019, it’s also likely that there are plenty of great guests to talk about future games in depth.

Finally, musical guests and performances centered on video game music are expected. The Game Awards are a true video game party, so it is likely that this year we will also find some surprises.
