Will the CFC successful series also hold at Viktoria Berlin?

CFC captain Tobias Müller is back in full force against Viktoria Berlin in the starting XI. The sky blue want to fight for another three points.

Chemnitz – The veterans are back! CFC-Captain Tobias Müller (29) was back in the starting line-up at BFC Dynamo for the first time since mid-August. Okan Kurt (28) missed the first three league games of the new year after slightly tearing his syndesmosis ligament and celebrated his comeback in a 0-0 draw against the previous year’s champion.

Furkan Kircicek (26) is still absent from Viktoria Berlin this Wednesday evening. He was suspended for three games after his red card against Greifswald and therefore has to watch both Wednesday and Sunday against Halberstadt.

Kilian Pagliuca (26, yellow-red suspension) and Dominik Pelivan (26) also have to pass: “He’s torn a muscle fiber and will be missing for a long time,” regrets coach Christian Tiffert (40).

That’s what Müller and Kurt are there for. “We deliberately waited a little longer before Tobi started to play so that he could get more power back into his legs. On Friday evening in Berlin, we kept checking from the 60th minute on how he was coping with the pressure on this difficult course. He has mastered it very well”, coach Christian Tiffert (40) is happy.

Müller held out – the entire 90 minutes plus five minutes of stoppage time! The former Dresden second division professional never avoided a duel. He brought a lot of calm and structure to the game of the sky blue.

Chemnitzer FC has not lost in twelve games

That also applied to Kurt, who acted like he’d never been out. “Okan played all the games in the first half of the season and took part in the preparations up to the Turkey camp. He didn’t lose that much substance due to his injury,” explains Tiffert.

With Müller and Kurt in midfield, the series of twelve games without defeat at third division relegated Viktoria Berlin should be extended on Wednesday evening.

“The next difficult task. The Berliners play a good ball, they have consolidated themselves. That shows their results,” Tiffert recalls, among other things, the 2-1 draw at Lok Leipzig twelve days ago.
