Zwickau – The FSV Zwickau does not progress as desired in the search for a trainer.
Ronny Thielemann (49), the actual preferred candidate to succeed Joe Enochs (51), who is on leave, seems to be almost off the table as an option. Although it is said from circles close to the club that they are still in contact.
At the beginning of the week everything pointed to a coaching deal with Thielemann. The 49-year-old, who was born in Bad Schlemaer, was very popular with the club management and essential questions were clarified.
Most recently, according to TAG24 information, it was still about the validity of the working paper. Accordingly, Thielemann insisted on a contract for the 3rd division and the regional league. The club bosses, on the other hand, had other ideas and offered a contract for the 3rd division, which would have been extended in the event of success, i.e. relegation – with an associated salary increase.
FSV is subject to Elversberg under the eyes of Enoch’s successor Thielemann
Here both sides did not find each other until the end, although the talks have not yet come to a complete standstill, as TAG24 found out.
Time is of the essence, as interim coach Robin Lenk (38) can only take a seat in the coaching chair until Saturday against Elversberg and then has to return to the second rank.
The required football coach can only come from outside, as nobody within the club has the required license.
It would look different in the event of relegation, since the A license that Lenk has is sufficient for the regional league. This also seems to be one of the reasons why the club’s leaders only want to hire a new coach for the 3rd division.
Shocking news for FSV: Robin Ziegele is out due to injury
The only question is who is ready to embark on the adventure, which may only last four months.
