We didn’t think that an animated show about the late Elvis Presley as a superhero would be coming out in 2023, but Netflix’s Agent Elvis will do just that. Matthew McConaughey will voice the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll in the new series, which was announced in 2019. Austin Butler was nominated for an Oscar for his role as the star.
Since then, more information about the show has come out, and we now have a trailer. The show was made by Priscilla Presley and John Eddie. Audiences have no clue what to think, that’s for sure. A summary of the series says, “Elvis Presley trades in his jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is secretly recruited into a government spy program to fight the evil forces that threaten the country he loves, all while keeping his day job as the King of Rock and Roll.” Elvis will also have a chimpanzee follow him around as he goes on adventures in the series.

Elvis is such a unique person that his story should be told in a way that is unlike any other. In an interview with Variety, the lovely Priscilla Presley said, “Even when Elvis was a little boy, he always wanted to be the superhero who fought crime and saved the world.” It’s about time that the wise few made Elvis’s dream come true. So, that’s what’s going to happen. The plot summary of Agent Elvis has been shared by Netflix, which is the main host of the series.
Elvis remains the famous star that everyone loves, but in this series, he also works as a spy on the side. But how does espionage fit with the idea of being a superhero? We all know that superheroes don’t always have superpowers or fully optimized super suits or capes. Secret spies can also be superheroes, as long as they stand on the right side of justice.
This is true of this version of Elvis, who halts the bad guys before they do anything bad, just like any good hero would. Also, this may give a whole new meaning to the expression “Elvis has left the building,” which came about because of the singer’s huge popularity, going from the singer leaving the venue after a set to the agent leaving the building after a mission.

So far, only Matthew McConaughey has been confirmed to be in this animated series. Matthew will play our own Elvis Presley, who we all love. Even though this is Matthew’s first time working on an animated show, we have no doubt that he will absolutely rock (no pun intended) this role and play Elvis Presley in the most effective manner. The rest of the cast hasn’t been announced yet, but there’s no doubt they’ll be great and put their best foot forward!
This animated show was made in part by Elvis’s ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, so the aspirations and stakes are very high. Because she helped make the show, we can be sure that the character of Elvis will be true to the one we all know and love. This will add that little something extra that every Elvis fan is looking for. We also know that Priscilla has worked on comedy series before, so we know that this show has been given to the right people.
John Eddie is the other person who made the show, along with Priscilla. Mike Arnold and Fletcher Moules of Entergalactic are also making the shows. Also, Gary Ye is the show’s director, Chris Thompson is the art director, and Josué Sánchez is the editor. Also, Robert Valley designs the characters for the animated show Agent Elvis. John Varvatos does the costumes, and Tyler Bates writes the music.
When and Where Is Agent Elvis Releasing?
When Agent Elvis comes out later this Spring, you’ll be able to watch it on Netflix. Adult animated comedies are a popular choice for people who use streaming services, and almost all of the big ones have at least one. Solar Opposites (2020–) is on Hulu, Smiling Friends (2020–) is on HBO Max, and Netflix has a fair amount of similar shows. Agent Elvis is likely to be another good addition to a catalog that is already full of good songs.
As for when it will be on Netflix, we understand that Elvis Presley’s raunchy animated adventure will be there in March 2023. Netflix hasn’t announced a specific release date or timetable for all ten planned episodes of the series yet, but March is just around the corner, so we’re sure to get a more concrete date sooner rather than later.

On Monday, February 6, 2023, the trailer for the TV show Agent Elvis came out. The trailer showed flashy scenes that fit with who Elvis really was and what his title was. The first few frames of the trailer show scenes and events from the singer’s real life that any true fan would recognize and remember.
Some of these things are going to Las Vegas, where he currently holds a residency, making his famous Christmas comeback special, and meeting Richard Nixon, as was already mentioned. We’ve seen him do things like fly around with a jetpack, fight with and handcuff goons, and have a one-on-one with ninjas, among other things.
