After Season 1 came out on Netflix on January 28, 2022, All of Us Are Dead Season 2 has been one of the most-anticipated zombie K-dramas. The show has a 7.2/10 rating on IMDb after only one day, and almost all critics have given it good reviews and think it will be as good as Squid Games and Sweet Home.
The show is based on the Naver Webtoon “Jigeum Uri Hakgyoneun,” which was made by Dong-Geun and means “Our School Now” in its original language. The show is about a Korean high school called Hyosan High School, where a virus outbreak turned some of the students into zombies. One of the science teachers at the school made the virus.

It took Netflix just over four months to say something good about the future of All of Us Are Dead. On June 6, 2022, Yoon Chan-young, Park Ji-hu, Lomon, and Cho Yi-hyun were all in a video that was released during Netflix Geeked Week 2022. In the video, the cast confirmed that there would be a second season of All of Us Are Dead.
How did the first season of All of Us Are Dead end?
After the deputy commander makes the decision to bomb the whole city of Hyosan to try to kill off the infected, Cheong-san and the other people who are still alive rush to find a safe place. Gwi-nam comes up and bites Cheong-san in the arm, which is a shame. This means that he will transform into a zombie or a halfbie at some point. Then, Cheong-san decides to give up his own life to save his friends. Cheong-san and Gwi-nam have one last fight as the other survivors run away. They eventually fall down an elevator shaft and catch fire as they burn.
The students who are still alive make their way to Yangdong, which has been abandoned, where they have to battle off a huge group of zombies. Wu-jin is the only person who dies in the attack. Nam-ra is having trouble controlling her desire for blood, so she moves away from the group in order to protect them. After having left Yangdong City, the six remaining survivors (On-jo, Su-hyeok, Hyo-ryeong, Dae-su, Ha-ri, and Mi-jin) run into the police and are saved and taken to a quarantine camp.
The story then jumps ahead four months. Less rules are in place at the quarantine camp, so On-Jo can sneak out at night to leave presents at the memorial right from outside camp. One night, though, she sees a campfire on the roof of Hyosan High. So she and her classmates decide to look into it. They are surprised to find Nam-ra on the roof, and they try to convince her to go back to the camp with them. But Nam-ra says she can’t because there are more half-humans like her walking around.
Nam-ra then takes a look around and says, “They’re back.” She doesn’t say who “they” are, but I think it’s safe to assume she’s talking about other halfbies. She informs her friends she’ll be back, and then she jumps off the roof. On-Jo and the rest of the group walk to the roof’s outermost edge and look down. What they see seems to shock them all. Then the credits come on.
What can we expect to happen in All of Us Are Dead season 2?
Some critics say that All of Us Are Dead Season 2 doesn’t really need to be made, unlike the many fans who can’t wait for it. In season 1, only a few students made it out of Hyosan High School alive, while most people turned into zombies and were then blown up by the Korean military. These few people who made it out are now having to live in a refugee camp while they wait for the military to tell them it’s safe to go home.
Unless a new outbreak starts the new season. Or, the season puts more focus on Nam-Ra, who was infected with the virus but did not die from it. After getting the virus, she not only stayed human, but she also got stronger and could do more.
The new season might have more to do with zombie-human hybrids like Nam-Ra, whose identities aren’t clear and who can change at any point in the series.
In an interview with The Korea Herald before All of Us Are Dead was picked up for a second season, the show’s director, Lee Jae-kyoo, said that he wanted to make a second season of this zombie show. He said, “If the first season was about how people can survive, the second season can be about how zombies can survive.”

Is All of Us Are Dead season 2 filming?
It seems that way. Photos posted on Twitter show that the cast and crew were seen filming the second season for the first time in September 2022. But it’s not clear if production really began in September or not. The cameras could have started rolling before September, but we don’t know for sure because we don’t have the official project timeline.
In October 2022, a fan posted a TikTok video of what looks like the cast and crew still filming. People in the video are acting like zombies and others are running away. But it’s important to note that neither Netflix nor the people who are making the show have said that filming has begun. So it’s possible that these photos and videos are from a different project. But even if they are from another show or movie, we still think that work on All of Us Are Dead season 2 has already begun. We hope that confirmation will come soon.
When will All of Us Are Dead season 2 be released?
At the time of this writing, it’s hard to say when the latest episode will be available on Netflix because we don’t know for sure when production started or even if it has. If we assume that filming began in September 2022, we can expect season 2 of All of Us Are Dead to come out on Netflix in late 2023. But since this is just a guess on our part, you can take it with a pinch of salt.
