Eintracht Frankfurt shortened their lead over the top of the table: Randal Kolo Muani decided the game against Werder Bremen with his tenth goal.

The Hessians prevailed 2-0 (1-0) in the eagerly awaited game against the promoted team, in which Kolo Muani and Füllkrug, the top scorer and the top scorer in the Bundesliga, faced each other. But only the French national player was hit.
At the beginning of the rather lame encounter, the home side had at least made some plans after the weak 0:3 in Cologne and it could have rang the bell in Bremen’s box as early as the 3rd minute.
Jesper Lindström was put in superbly by Kolo Muani with a back-heel on the left and found Ansgar Knauff, who was ready to score. But Marco Friedl clarified before the Dortmund loan.

Shortly thereafter, however, the time had come: Philipp Max hit a free kick from 20 meters onto the far post. Kristijan Jakic shot Friedl, who unluckily steered the ball into his own goal to make it 1-0 (8th).
As a result, the game flattened out because Eintracht controlled what was happening on the pitch against toothless Bremen, but had clearly slowed down the pace.

So the encounter languished during the break, only Knauff (28′), Evan N’Dicka (29′) and Lindström (45’+1′) still managed to score significant goals.
The guests started the second half a little braver, but were quickly punished. Again, the strong Max initiated the hit with a cross from the left.
Bremen’s keeper Jiri Pavlenka was able to clear a header from Kolo Muani from close range with a brilliant act. However, the ball fell at Knauff’s feet. The free-standing Frenchman now pushed in his short pass to make it 2-0 (52nd).
Tension before the Naples game: several Eintracht fans have already been arrested
The performance of the 10-goal man came to an end a little later. To protect himself for the first leg in the Champions League next Tuesday (9 p.m.) against SSC Napoli, Oliver Glasner substituted him and brought on Rafael Borré (68th).

After that, not much happened. Although Werder didn’t give up, they remained harmless and unimaginative. Shortly before the end, Füllkrug supposedly scored his goal after all, but was close to the goal (90+2).
In this way, the eagle carriers relaxedly swung the lead to the finish and are now only five points behind the current leader of the table Bayern Munich.
