HSV: Ludovit Reis leads the Rothosen to victory against Arminia Bielefeld

Hamburger SV has taken another step towards promotion. A solid performance against Arminia Bielefeld was enough to win 2-1.

Hamburg – He is simply indispensable! Ludovit Reis was in the 2-1 victory of the Hamburger SV above Arminia Bielefeld once again the linchpin of his team and the outstanding man on the pitch.

The 22-year-old Dutchman was everywhere on the pitch, deftly directing the red pants’ game. After a tepid early phase, in which a goal by Frederik Jäkel was ruled out by Bielefeld for being offside, it was Reis who gave the Rothosen a 1-0 lead.

In an attack he initiated himself, the midfielder caught the ball after a back-heel from Miro Muheim in Bielefeld’s penalty area, pulled in and fired. DSC defender Guilherme Ramos deflected his shot from keeper Martin Fraisl.

With that, Reis continued his impressive run. The Dutchman has scored four goals in the last five games.

His team had two more chances before the break, but Dompé’s free-kick was a grateful effort for Fraisl (42′) and Laszlo Benes’ aim was too imprecise.

It seemed as if HSV had everything under control and would win another, safe win. But then Bielefeld came up and equalized. After a sharp cross from the right, Fabian Klos initially missed out on Fraisl, but then Bastian Oczipka pushed the rebound into an empty goal.

The Hamburgers were unimpressed by the equalizer. Benes hit a free kick on the crossbar, Jonas David then failed from close range at the strongly reacting DSC goalkeeper (53rd).

A short time later, however, the time had come, the Volkspark was upside down. A Dompé cross slammed Bakery Jatta under the crossbar at the second post. Everything went according to plan for the Walter-Elf.

Despite the lead, HSV made life difficult for themselves and created opportunities for Bielefeld with a few lack of concentration. But in the end, these remained unused.

In the end, the Rothosen celebrated a not undeserved victory because there were simply not enough guests. On the coming matchday, the Hamburg team is going to play the absolute top game at SV Darmstadt 98.

Bielefeld is sinking further and further down the table in the second division and is only on the relegation spot thanks to the better goal difference. Next opponent is the third from Heidenheim.
