Is Ronny Thielemann coming to FSV Zwickau or not? It depends on the details of the contract

Zwickau – It won’t work with Ronny Thielemann (49)? The conversations between FSV Zwickau and the 49-year-old, who was to follow the suspended Joe Enochs (51), were already advanced. According to TAG24 information, however, crucial contract details still need to be clarified.

Successor and predecessor: Ronny Thielemann (49, left) is scheduled to hold his first session as the new FSV head coach on Wednesday afternoon. He succeeds Joe Enochs (51), who was sacked the previous week.

The fact is: Thielemann was considered the ideal candidate and should have led the first session as the new FSV coach on Wednesday, 2 p.m. That now seems questionable. Time is of the essence, because interim coach Robin Lenk (38) is only allowed to coach the home game against Elversberg.

This requires an external impulse more urgently than ever, as the last weekend revealed. “You don’t win a third division game that way!” Davy Frick (32) became clear after the 0:4 at MSV Duisburg.

Clear message from the experienced defense chief, who has already proven himself successfully six times in the relegation battle with FSV Zwickau. This season it will be a very difficult task if the swans don’t scrape the curve as soon as possible.

“The performance is not enough to be in the 3. Liga to stay”, there was nothing to gloss over for Nils Butzen (29) in Duisburg: “Due to blatant individual mistakes, we invited the opponent to score goals.” Nobody could exempt himself from that either.

Zwickau missed a lot, knocked with and against the ball in the game, like before the 0:3, which was preceded by a simple throw-in, or the 0:4, when Patrick Göbel (29) played the ball into the opponent’s legs.

Johannes Brinkies (29) wasn’t the usual secure backing either and had to take the 0-1 down when he came out in the five but didn’t get the ball.

“We have to be ashamed of ourselves a bit,” Butzen sums it up. After the game shot, we went straight to the away block, where a discussion lasting several minutes followed with the supporters who had traveled with us. Butzen: “The tenor was consistently positive, which we give the fans a lot of credit for reacting calmly after such a performance. We have to bundle all our strengths. If they realize that we’re working our asses off, they’ll continue to stand behind us.”

The experienced defender knows that the team has a duty to ensure that nothing slips and, in the worst case, that cohesion crumbles. “Of course it’s a matter of time before the mood changes. We have to make sure that doesn’t happen, with performance that encourages,” demands Butzen.
