Wolfsburg – What was he thinking? A Instagram-Skandal um Felix Nmecha (22) vom VfL Wolfsburg is currently making the rounds on social media. It should be about transphobic content.
Nmecha is undoubtedly one of the most promising and interesting talents in the country.
Recordings are now circulating on social networks, which put the midfielder in a dubious light, at least outside the field.
Felix Nmecha is said to have shared a transphobic post on his private Instagram page on Monday.
After leaving VfL Wolfsburg: Max Kruse is now in touch
It was about the contributions of the right-wing extremist and self-proclaimed “theocratic fascist” Matt Walsh (36). The American commentator and author openly agitates against the LGBTQ community and has often attracted attention in the past for racist comments and a proven abortion stance.
In the said video, which Nmecha shared in his Instagram story, the American is said to have made fun of the father of a trans child. Below it was written: “If we don’t see what is wrong with this”. An open rejection of the LGBTQ community!
The VfL star presents himself in his social networks as a convinced Christian. Among other things, he published articles with the wording: “Always for you Jesus” (German: Always for you Jesus) or “We need to seek God” (German: We must search for God).
The temporal component of his shared post seems all the more unfortunate. This took place immediately after the coming out of the Czech soccer player Jakub Jankto (27). On Monday he was the first active football professional in Europe to come out as homosexual.
Although the exact circumstances of his post cannot (yet) be clarified, the matter is already making waves on social networks.
VfL players make fun of Corona rules and sometimes sit on the train without masks: Club says sorry!
Some users openly accuse the VfL professional of transphobia and homophobia and are demanding consequences from the club, others do not want to lean too far out of the window and wait for the reaction of the player or the club. Neither Felix Nmecha nor his employer VfL Wolfsburg have commented on the matter so far.
