With the release of the shooting schedule for season 2 of the popular FX original series, Jeff Bridges will soon be back in action. The Old Man’s seven-episode first season debuted on June 16, 2022, and a few days later it received a second season renewal.
The Old Man Season 2 will start shooting in Los Angeles, California, on March 20, 2023, and will end on June 16, 2023, after a three-month production period. The filming is anticipated to take part in Norwich, Norfolk, UK, just like the first season. Eight episodes are anticipated for the second season as a whole.

The FBI’s Harold Harper (John Lithgow), his dependable protege Angela Adams (Alia Shawkat), and young CIA agent Raymond Waters are attempting to bring Chase in and defuse the situation (EJ Bonilla). Chase, on the other hand, ends up falling for a single mother named Zoe (Amy Brennenman), who joins him on the run from the FBI and, for an added challenge, a highly trained assassin named Julian (Gbenga Akinnagbe), who was suggested to Harper by the enigmatic power player Morgan Bote (Joel Grey).
Before the season 1 finale, it was revealed that Angela Adams is actually Emily Chase, Dan Chase’s daughter of Hamzad’s prior wife (the tough escaped Hamzad together in the 80s). When Harper discovers her real identity, he begins to doubt their relationship. However, everything changes after she is abducted, prompting Harper to work with Chase to rescue her.
This sets up the season 1 conclusion, in which Chase consents to hand himself over to Hamzad in exchange for assurances that Emily will be secure. Additionally, it requires bidding Zoe farewell. Harper wants to learn more about the trip he helped organize for Chase to take to get away from Hamzad and the circumstances around all of this so he can describe it to Emily as he moves Chase. But before Chase can react, they find out that Hamzad has broken his word to keep Emily out of it.

It goes without saying that Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow will return, along with the majority of the significant performers, as The Old Man Season 1 ended with many tales still untold. Agent Raymond Waters (E.J. Bonilla), who perished in the finale, is probably not going to return for Season 2.

The plot of The Old Man Season 2

They both wind up in the sights of FBI counterintelligence specialist Harold Harper (John Lithgow). He must find Chase since they have a troubled past that dates back to the Soviet-Afghan War. Thomas Perry’s book provides inspiration, yet it also stands alone as a narrative. The Old Man could have to venture into uncharted terrain for Season 2 if there isn’t a book sequel. That’s only true if Perry’s novel has been entirely adapted.

The Thomas Perry book of the same name served as the inspiration for the fundamental plot of the Old Man series. The stories of the two can be easily distinguished by someone who has read both the novel and the first season of the FX series.
In the series, certain characters’ names as well as the story and connection associated with them have been changed. Be it Emily, the daughter of Hamzad and a coworker of Harper. She is not related to Hamzad in the book (Called Hamzah in the novel).
