After learning that Henry Cavill will finally not put on the red cape again and play Superman (although he himself had recently confirmed that he did), all eyes are on the new Superman, the one that James Gunn has confirmed will have a movie in the new DC universe.
For now, the only thing we know about this new Superman is that will be younger than the one played by Henry Cavill in the latest movies, so the internet has been flooded with potential actors who would fit the role. One of the favorites has turned out to be Jacob Elordi, known for playing Nate Jacobs in the HBO Max series Euphoria.
They have not taken long to make some conceptual arts that They show Jacob Elordi turned into the new Supermanlike this one by the artist spdrmnkyxxiii that he has shared through his Instagram account:
They are a couple of sketches with Jacob Elordi dressed in the iconic Superman suit. How about? Would he be a possible Superman to consider?
Obviously, this is a simple fan job, since there is no official news about it. We know nothing about this new Superman movie and we are far from knowing the ins and outs of his cast.
This new, younger Superman is part of the new plan for DC Studios being shaped by its new creative directors, James Gunn and Peter Safran. With the confirmation that Henry Cavill won’t follow, we also know that Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam isn’t part of those early plans, and we’ll probably have to add Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman as well.
