Leipzig – The 3-0 win by RB Leipzig at the VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday caused a lot of joy for the fans – for some probably a bit too much. Apparently some fans destroyed a train compartment on a regional train on the return journey from Wolfsburg to the trade fair city.
An account manager in mass transit posted on his personal Twitter account some snapshots from said train. You can see: a completely filled floor, cans and cigarette butts in the rows of seats and a toilet smeared with graffiti tags.
The abbreviations “FRP” and “RBSL” can be read several times – the former stands for “Red Pride Group”, which is the name of a Red Bulls fan group. A clear indication of who could be behind the graffiti.
The federal police in Magdeburg had confirmed the incident to the “Bild” newspaper. The vandalism was noticed after almost 200 fans in Magdeburg had changed from the regional train. They are investigating for property damage.
Rose on RB Leipzig’s beginnings: “It was difficult to drive through the city with a car sticker”
RB has not yet made any statement about the behavior of the fans.
