As part of Netflix’s move into the dramedy genre, the series Unstable, which is set at the Biotech Company, will be coming out soon. In April 2022, when the series was announced, John Lowe, the show’s creator and one of its main actors, was named.
Victor Fresco and his son John will both be on the team. John is known for making fun of some of his dad’s photos on social media (Santa Clarita Diet). Netflix said that collaborating with the father-son duo would be just as interesting as how funny they are as people. So, they are very happy to be able to watch the show. What is the plot of Unstable?

“Ellis Dragon (Rob Lowe) is an eccentric, almost narcissistic biotech entrepreneur who is trying to make the globe a better place. He is loved by everyone. He is also emotionally falling apart. His son Jackson Dragon, who is played by John Owen Lowe, is… none of those. Can Jackson save Ellis and his company, fix their broken relationship, and get out of his father’s shadow, which may be impossible?
From the summary and the name, you can tell that Unstable will be very unlike any other father-son comedy you may have seen before. Unstable will be mostly about Ellis Dragon, who has a very unique personality that not everybody is able to keep up with or even stand. Jackson, his son, is very different from him, and he goes back to his father’s life to try to save him from…himself and the bad things that happen to him. Maybe Jackson and Ellis need one another in different ways, and what this father-son duo needs most is Ellis’s company. So, Unstable is sure to be a fun ride as Ellis and Jackson try to get back together and make matters work for the good of everyone.
Unstable Season 1 Cast
The show’s main character will be Rob Lowe, who will play Ellis, the owner, and CEO of the successful Biotech Company. Ellis will be played by Rob Lowe. Rob has appeared on a number of TV shows, including The Grinder and Holiday in the Wild. He will be joined by John Owen Lowe, who will play Jackson. a young man who goes into business with his father. Since the two actors are father and son in real life, their interactions on the show will be just as natural. Tom Allen will play TJ, Aaron Branch will play Malcolm, Sian Clifford (Hitmen) will play Anna, Rachel Marsh will play Luna, Emma Ferreira will play Ruby, Sian Clifford (Hitmen) will play Luna, and Fred Armisen (Big Mouth) will play Leslie.
Rob Lowe, John Owen Lowe, and Victor Fresco are the show’s creators and executive producers. Marc Buckland is also set to be an executive producer. Sian Clifford will play Anna, Rachel Marsh will play Luna, Emma Ferreira will play Ruby, Aaron Branch will play Malcolm, and Fred Armisen will play Leslie. There will be eight episodes.
Unstable Season 1 Release Date
On February 3, Netflix said that the new tv show would start airing on March 30, 2023. As usual, Unstable’s first season will have eight 30-minute episodes that will be available on Netflix at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET.

The trailer for Unstable just came out on Netflix. It’s all kinds of crazy, and the title makes even more sense now. Rob Lowe has done a great job playing this oddball character, but his son John Owen Lowe deserves a lot of credit for a performance that seems on par with that of his father, which is saying something.
