Sports director Markus Krösche does not believe in a timely farewell to star striker Randal Kolo Muani at Eintracht Frankfurt. How long the Hessians can hold onto the French World Cup runners-up also depends on their development, the 42-year-old told the “Kölnische Rundschau”: “But I assume that Randal will continue to play with us in the next few years. He has a lot of skills but also areas for development, so it makes sense for him to stay with us.”

Kolo Muani is one of the rising stars of the current Bundesliga season. The attacker has already scored 14 competitive goals for Eintracht, who are visiting 1. FC Köln on Sunday (5.30 p.m. / DAZN). His contract in Frankfurt runs until June 30, 2027.

“The perception of Eintracht Frankfurt has changed completely in the last 18 months,” said Krösche about the role of Hesse in the transfer market.

“We have become very interesting for one or the other player. On the one hand because of the Europa League title. On the other hand because we are developing young players like Randal Kolo Muani, Jesper Lindström, Junior Ebimbe and Ansgar Knauff. Playing at the same time we like attractive football that causes a stir.”

Krösche and Eintracht have also set themselves big goals for the future. “We want to get as far as possible into the cup final and the Champions League – even if Naples are tough opponents, but we’re a very good team too,” said the sporting director.

“In the Bundesliga we always want to play internationally. This season we want to achieve a place in the Champions League.”
