Duncanville’s first season started on February 16, 2020. Fox renewed the show for a second season, which came out on May 23, 2021. What could have been the plot of Duncanville Season 4?
As of July 21, 2022, all 10 episodes of Season 3 of Duncanville have been shown. The season ended on June 26, 2022. The 10th episode is just called “Moneyballs.” It was written by Andrew Lee and directed by Marius Alecse. About 0.52 million people in the US are expected to watch it. The official summary of the episode says, “After Duncan gets a job and starts helping pay the bills, he thinks he should be the head of the family. Jack wants to impress his dad and show that he is in charge of his household.”
In the last episode, Jack keeps trying to impress Dick while the rest of the Harris family takes him out to dinner and Duncan plans a house party at home without telling anyone. Once they’re back home, Dick tells Jack that he can’t use their credit cards because he was too nice to Duncan. On the advice of his friends, Duncan takes a job at Ray’s hardware store and uses his newfound money to pay Kimberly and Jing to work as maids and talk with a British accent, and also to buy things for the family.
When he sees that Jack is using his new job to try to impress Dick even more, he acts just like Dick. When Jack and Duncan get angry on the roof, Annie calls Dick and asks him to come to stop the fight. He gets them to admit that they like each other, and in the end, Dick admits that he likes Jack. The family decides to keep the hole so they’re able to see the stars even when they fall through the roof. Jack shuts the door with a nail gun while Dick grumbles in the bathroom.
Fans won’t be able to guess how these characters would have grown because the show has been canceled. If the fourth season had been renewed, the story would have gone on from here and expanded to show how the characters interact and explore other plots. This would have made fans more likely to stick with the show for a while.
